This Privacy Policy explains how Saddle Group Inc., operating as Wypeify ("Wypeify," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Wypeify QA application and the wypeify.com website. We are a Canadian company and handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

Wypeify QA is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. Specifically:

Purchase information. When you buy a license, payment is processed by our payment provider (Gumroad), not by us directly. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
License activation data. To activate your license, the application reads your USB drive's hardware serial number and ties your license key to that drive. This information stays on your own USB drive and is used only to verify your license during activation and periodic re-verification.
Device test data. When you use Wypeify QA to test a refurbished device, the specs and test results it collects (manufacturer, model, serial number, hardware specs, test outcomes) are saved locally to your own USB drive or configured save location. This data is not transmitted to us.
Contact information. If you email us for support, we retain that correspondence to respond to your inquiry.

Wypeify QA is offline-first software. Aside from license verification with our payment/licensing provider, the application does not transmit the devices you test, the certificates you generate, or your customer records to us or to any third party.

How we use information

To verify and activate your license
To detect and prevent license misuse (for example, confirming a license hasn't been refunded or disputed)
To respond to support requests
To meet legal and accounting obligations

Third parties

We use Gumroad to process payments and issue license keys. Gumroad's handling of your payment and purchase information is governed by Gumroad's own privacy policy. We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

Data retention

We retain purchase and license records for as long as necessary to provide support, honour our refund policy, and meet legal and accounting requirements. Device test data generated by Wypeify QA remains on your own USB drive or configured save location and is retained or deleted at your discretion.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request that it be corrected or deleted, subject to legal and legitimate business record-keeping requirements. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
